The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has called her “a model of peace and accord”. Later on the Republic Day, he opened a memorial plate in memory of the heroes of the Chechen Caucasian Native cavalry regiment (“wild”) division, reported on the official website of the leader of “Vkontakte”.
The holiday was established in 2002 as the first President of the Chechen Republic Akhmat Kadyrov, the father of Ramzan. “It was extremely difficult moment, when every day people dying rampaged international terrorists and Wahhabis, the Republic was in ruins. Akhmad believed that very soon there will come other times, Chechnya get back on my feet, will turn into a flourishing region, there will be peace, revive cities and villages. He was convinced that it needs unity and harmony, it is important to unite a divided and fractured society,” wrote Kadyrov.
According to Kadyrov, Chechnya today is a model of peace and harmony. “For many years there was no conflict on religious or ethnic grounds. Us permanent residence come the natives of the cities and regions of the country”, – said the head of the Republic.

Kadyrov himself took part in the opening of the memorial plaques in Grozny.
