Kommersant learned about Ukraine introduced the draft resolution on location of UN peacekeepers in the Donbass
In the Security Council of the United Nations is another draft resolution on the placement of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbass, in addition to made by Russia. Another source close to the UN Secretariat, confirmed that the Ukrainian side had not submitted to the security Council of these documents.

The Ukrainian leader urged to send a mission to the Donbass in the shortest possible time, reports TASS. The President spoke of the need to remove all “foreign military personnel, mercenaries, their weapons and tools from Ukraine”. Poroshenko called first to send a mission for a technical assessment on Ukraine and, on the basis of its analytical conclusions, to work out “parameters of the political and other UN presence in the Donbas.”
At a briefing after the speech, Poroshenko said that the Ukrainian side insists on the deployment of peacekeepers in all uncontrolled Kiev territory. According to him, the “blue helmets” must be control over the border with Russia, as well as the return of “peace and Ukrainian sovereignty in the occupied territory.”
However, Poroshenko said that “Ukraine will not accept peace proposals from Moscow.” The Ukrainian President also spoke against the inclusion in the composition of the peacekeeping mission of Russia itself.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine and the United States refused to participate further in the work on Russia-proposed draft resolution on the deployment of peacekeepers in the Donbass. In the Kremlin against this background, urged “not to blur the essence of the Russian proposal”, where we are talking about the UN mission, which is to ensure the safety of working in the conflict zone the OSCE.
September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a proposal on the placing of the UN mission in the Donbass. The Russian leader explained that the mission of the peacekeepers should be solely the security of the Special monitoring mission (SMM) of the OSCE. Also the resolution of this issue may occur “only after the withdrawal of the parties and the withdrawal of heavy equipment”.
