Russian hotels have started to increase the price due to the increased flow of foreign tourists, the newspaper “Kommersant” with reference to representatives of the tourism industry. New pricing policy as the tour operators are afraid, maybe a third to increase the prices and reduce the number of people wishing to visit Russia.

Due to the fall of the ruble inbound tourist flow to Russia increased for the second year in a row: by the end of 2015, the Russian Union of travel industry (RUTI) reported an increase in the number of trips by 13.7%, to 29.4 million people. In the first half of 2016, according to the calculations of PCT, the same indicator grew by 10%, to 12 million.

Assessment of tour operators supported by the data of the hotel market. So, in the summer of 2017 organized for foreign tourists the cost of living in hotels in Moscow will increase by 10-20%, and in Petersburg the rates at some hotels may increase by 100%.

According to the calculations of the General Director of Tari Tour, Marina Levchenko, now the average cost of travel in Russia is 1 million euros, next summer the figure may increase by about 300 euros.

“Obviously, the demand for them will decrease, this season the main advantage Russia has been relatively small cost of travel”, the publication said the head of inbound tourism Department of KMP group Alexander Makarovski.

At the same time hoteliers already expect next summer to increase fares and for tour operators. There is nothing extraordinary: increased requests and the market responds with higher prices, explained the edition, the representative of one of the hotel chains.
