Business social network LinkedIn is in contact with the representatives of Roscomnadzor, on the question of localization data. This is the Agency “Prime” with reference to the press service of the social network.
As noted in LinkedIn, the meeting with representatives of Ministry is not defined. “Up to this point we cannot comment on judicial process,” the company explained.

Earlier it became known that Roskomnadzor in court seeking the blocking of LinkedIn in Russia. As stated by the press-Secretary of Department Vadim Ampelonskiy, the next hearing is scheduled in the Moscow city court on November 10.

In Roskomnadzor believe that LinkedIn violated the law “On personal data”, particularly not moved the servers to Russia. The Department explained that decided to check out the social network after the press released information about the data breach of LinkedIn users.

“History is very simple. We just react to media reports,

September 1, 2015 came into force the amendments to the law “On
personal data”, which require personal data localization in Russia. Under the new rules, any Russian or foreign company, focused on work with Russian users, must ensure recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, specification of personal data of Russian citizens using databases located on the territory of the Russian Federation.

LinkedIn is a social network for search and establishment of business
contacts. Currently it has registered more than 400 million
users from 200 countries, representing 150 industries. In the summer the website was acquired by Microsoft for 26.2 billion US dollars.
