The Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky said that he respects the decision of the dissertation Council of Moscow state University, who yesterday refused to consider the thesis of the Minister, reports RIA Novosti.

“I respect the decision of the academic Council”, – said Medina.

The Dean of the history faculty of Moscow state University Ivan Tuchkov said that the dissertation Council of the University will not consider the substance of the dissertation of the Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky. This decision was taken due to the lack of suspicion that in scientific work a Medina plagiarism.

Earlier, the rector of Moscow state University Viktor Sadovnichy promised that the dissertation Council of the University will find a way to disassemble the thesis materials Medina. He became interested in the work of the Minister after last spring, historians Vyacheslav Kozlyakov and Konstantin erusalimsky together with the expert community Discerned Ivan Babitsky filed a statement on deprivation of Medina doctoral degree. They pointed out that the Minister’s thesis “Problems of objectivity in the coverage of Russian history in the second half of the XV-XVII centuries” unscientific and “sometimes absurd”.



Medina was treated with respect to the rejection of the dissertation Council of Moscow state University to analyze his thesis 08.02.2017
