Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, which was submitted to the President a comprehensive plan for the development of economy and social sphere in 2025. Earlier with the corresponding request to the Cabinet was addressed by Putin himself.
“I asked the government to prepare a plan of economic development, determine promising directions of development of the means of achieving those goals for the period from 2017 to 2025. Mean not only internal political plans and the political agenda, but what is known in our outline for the year 2020, we were forced to adjust accordingly, and 2020 is not far off”, – quotes the words of Putin , the press service of the Kremlin.
According to the President, Russia should have “clear plans for the development of economy and social sphere,” regardless of personalities and domestic schedule. “On my instructions, there are various expert group, but certainly the work that has been undertaken by the government, should form the basis of all of these proposals,” – said the head of state.
Medvedev, in turn, reported to the President about the preparation of a comprehensive plan, which, according to him, contains “common approaches on how it can develop our economy and social sphere in the period from 2017 to 2025″.
The Prime Minister noted that he remembers the message of Putin, in which he tasked the government to bring economic growth in the period 2019-2020 to the level of the world average and higher. “This will enable our economy to develop faster and to solve basic social problems”, – said Medvedev.
A comprehensive plan developed by the government, the Premier explained, involves “quite a lot of different proposals”, which are currently engaged in expert circles.
