The Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev stated that gas prices for Belarus will remain at the same level, discounts are not provided, reports RIA “Novosti”.

“Once again I would like to emphasize that the price for the delivered to Belarus gas remains the same, is calculated by the existing formula, no adjustment is made, it is necessary to repay the debt in order to restore normal economic relations”, – he said.

The Russian Prime Minister expressed hope that the Belarusian partners also understand this fact.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich during the meeting of Prime Minister with Deputy Prime Ministers on Monday noted that the debt of Belarus for Russian gas exceeds $ 300 million and must be redeemed before October 20.

Earlier on Monday, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the country has removed the problematic issues in the oil and gas dispute with Russia, and Vice-Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko reported to the President that Moscow will significantly reduce the cost of gas for Belarus after Minsk repayment of existing debt.

The parties also agreed on the trajectory of decline of gas prices for Belarus for the coming years, he added.
