Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at the government meeting on 29 September gave a pen as a gift to the Minister of transport Maxim Sokolov, who on this day was 48.
“I would like to congratulate today our colleague’s birthday, I mean Maxim Yurievich Sokolov, let’s congratulate him” – quoted TASS the head of the government. – I want to send a souvenir.”
“If the weapon of the proletariat, as we know, the cobblestone, the weapon of officers – this is a pen”, – Medvedev said, handing Sokolov case with a gift. What kind of handle got Sokolov, is not specified.
Earlier this month, Medvedev himself has received a”souvenir” from President Vladimir Putin. On 14 September the Prime Minister turned 51 years old. The following day Putin personally handed over to a colleague in the tandem picture, entitled “In the shop”.
“This is consistent with what Mr President is doing,” said the President. The painting depicts a production hall industrial enterprises, which gathered employees of the plant.
