At least 77 people were injured in the explosion of a gas cylinder in one of the cafes in the municipality of vélez-málaga on the southern coast of Spain, reports Reuters, citing a health service of Andalusia.

According to the interlocutor of the Agency, five people were hospitalized with serious injuries. Information about their condition, he did not provide.

The incident occurred at about 19:00 local time (20:00 GMT) during a festival in the town, which is located near very popular tourist destination of Malaga.

TASS with reference to the radio station “Cadena ser” reports that four of the injured are in critical condition.
