The Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova sent to the state Duma five amendments to the law on the renovation programme in Moscow, proposing in particular to provide the residents of the five-story building instead of at least two apartments to choose from. She announced on Tuesday, may 16, the journalists, reports RIA “Novosti”.

“Today I have filed five amendments on the bill for the five-story building. And I really hope that me, the State Duma will hear my proposals will be reflected in the Committee’s decision,” said the Commissioner for human rights.

The amendments, first, include a proposal to give resettled to choose more than one option, and at least two or a refund.

Second, “the bill says that immediately the decision in court”. “Judicial procedure must be regular,” – said Moskalkova.

In addition, amendments of the Ombudsman propose to increase the period of exchange areas from 60 to 90 days and extend the possibility of judicial appeal against the decision on the relocation, reports “Interfax”.

TASS notes that the Commissioner for human rights is not a subject of legislative initiative, its proposals can be considered by the deputies.

In the preliminary list for the voting included 4566 homes in the 85 areas of the “old Moscow” and six settlements in the annexed territories. In them, according to city officials, there are about 1 million people. The program is designed for at least 10-15 years. First reading of the draft law passed on 20 April, the second was postponed to 5 July.
