Party the liberal democratic party took the initiative to send a company of special forces to Kyiv to protect Russian Embassy, which was committed before the attack. This is stated in a statement posted on the websiteof the liberal Democrats.

“In Ukraine, the thugs continue to wreak havoc around the Russian Embassy in Kiev. (…) In connection with impossibility of normal operation of the Embassy of Russia in Ukraine we consider it appropriate to drastically reduce our staff, and to recall Ambassador to Moscow, and in Kiev for the protection of the Embassy to send the company special troops”, – stated in the message.

“We must not allow the violence that is happening these days in Kiev. Firm measures are needed to protect diplomats!” – add in the liberal democratic party.

The attack on the Russian Embassy in Kiev occurred on the night of 6 March. A group of unknown persons in a camouflage and with baseball bats damaged three cars of the Russian Embassy. Moreover, the attackers gave the Embassy a few flares and smoke bombs.

Night attack on the Russian Embassy was preceded by a wave of actions across Ukraine in support of the Ukrainian pilot Hopes Savchenko, which in Russia is judged in the case of the death of Russian journalists in the Donbas. One of such actions took place at the Russian Embassy in the Ukrainian capital. During the meeting, the participants pelted the Embassy with eggs, chanting “Shame on Russia” and “Free Savchenko”.

Several hundred people gathered outside the Embassy and at some point began to throw the building with eggs and tomatoes, shouting “Fascism will not pass”.
