Streaming video service Netflix has acquired the production company “Environment” Alexander Tsekalo rights to the show worldwide, Russian series “Mazhor”. About it reported in “Environment”.

According to the company, the series will be broadcast under the name Silver spoon on Netflix with subtitles. It will appear in the service until the end of this autumn.

The transaction amount was not disclosed. The company Tsekalo noted that currently negotiations are underway for other projects.

The production company “Environment” is engaged in manufacture of TV programs and serials for the First channel, TV channels “TV Center”, NTV, REN TV, STS, “the Fifth channel”, “Friday!”, ICTV, 1+1, “inter” and “Ukraine”. Founded in June 2008 by Alexander Tsekalo after his departure from the post of Deputy Director General for special projects of the First channel.

The company released adaptation of the popular TV series BBC – “climate” (Luther) and “the other side of the moon” (Life on Mars). Also in the list of the company’s projects include the series “Method”, “Fartsa”, TV show “Big difference” and other projects.

Premiere of “Major” held on the First channel in 2014. In the series tells about a young man whose rich father sends to re – work to the police station.

Netflix was founded in the United States in 1997. Currently, the company’s share in the US accounts for 33% of traffic broadband Internet. In early 2016, the service has opened access for users from all over the world, including from Russia.
