New strong earthquake occurred in Central Italy: magnitude of the quake was 6.6, according to the data of American seismologists.

Reuters reports that the new tremors led to the collapse of historical buildings and churches in towns that were already damaged during previous earthquakes.

Initially, the thrust force was estimated at 6.1 points.

The epicenter of the quake was in the same place as during the recent earthquake of October 26, between the towns of Norcia, PRECI and Castelsantangelo Sul Nera, reports TASS.

The focus lies at a depth of 10 km.

The quake was so strong that it clearly felt in Rome, Florence, and even in the North of Italy.

Rescue services have started checking affected by the disaster zones.

This week’s earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.5, 6.1 and 4.6 happened in
Italy. Then it was reported about the damage, there were no casualties.
