In Washington, the White house, U.S. President Barack Obama held a meeting with the winner of the presidential election, Republican Donald trump, according to CNN.

In the morning trump flew in from new York to Washington for a meeting, which was scheduled for 10 hours (19:00 Moscow time). First visit trump in Washington as elected President began about 10:30 when the plane landed at Reagan.

The meeting was devoted to a “seamless transition” to newly-elected President. After the meeting the journalists had the opportunity to take a picture of trump and Obama in the oval office and record the answers to the questions.

As AP reports, Obama said that the conversation with trump he was “encouraged”. He called a meeting in the oval office “beautiful” and extensive on the topics. According to the incumbent President, it was encouraged by the interest trump to the country’s problems and a willingness to work together.

“We’ve never met (before),” said trump. He added that the meeting, which was to go 10 minutes, lasted more than an hour. “We really discussed a lot of different situations, pleasant and difficult. I really look forward to working with the President in the future, including as a consultant,” said trump. “Mr. President, it was an honor to meet you and I look forward to new meetings,” – he concluded.
