The project “Open Russia” the former head of Yukos Mikhail Khodorkovsky held a founding conference, electing the Council, formalizadas structure and planned activities: the movement will support citizens in disputes with the authorities and companies, as well as participation in regional elections, reports “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the movement.

The founding conference of the “Open Russia” is held in the Finnish capital Helsinki. There approved the program, Manifesto and Charter. According to Khodorkovsky, the immediate task of the movement – legal support in disputes with authorities and monopolies, public control over activities of the authorities and the media, as well as participation in elections to municipal councils and the regional legislative Assembly.

The conference also elected 11 members of the Board of the movement. In addition to Khodorkovsky, the Board includes: co-Chairman of Parnassus Vladimir Kara-Murza Jr., head of St. Petersburg branch of the party Andrei Pivovarov, the candidates of the “Open Russia” on last elections in the state Duma Maria Baronova, Olga zhakova, Savin Egor and Marina Belova. None of them to be elected to the Duma failed.
