According to him, among the priests of the Georgian Orthodox Church “many of those who oppose this visit and they intend to raise this issue in the Patriarchate. The priest did not comment on the upcoming meeting of the Catholicos-Patriarch Francis. “Until recently I had hoped that this meeting will not be”, – he said.
During the visit, the head of the Roman Catholic Church will be on Saturday, October 1, meeting with Margvelashvili and Elijah the Second, then meet at the presidential Palace with representatives of the Georgian authorities and the diplomatic corps and the same day will hold a mass at the stadium “locomotive” Mikheil Meskhi in Tbilisi.
