The Central electoral Committee creates an interagency working group with representatives of the Prosecutor’s office, interior Ministry and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for prompt response to abuses during the electoral process, said the CEC Chairman, Ella Pamfilova in interview to”Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
According to her, will practice operational missions in the regions from which come the signals of serious violations that they have crossed the whole point of voting.
“We have all the mechanisms to work swiftly, dispatching a rapid response team, to reach responsible persons in the city or the region on which it depends. In this case, fixed time the breach will not allow to distort the final result of the elections,” – said Pamfilova.
She also noted that the need for deep and thorough analysis of the results of the election campaign, to any offender, “whether it’s the Governor, the mayor, the head of the settlement”, the gift is not passed.
“The criminal cases, recourse to the courts, the Prosecutor’s office, appeal to the President because we found out that the Governor, the head of this or that Republic became a source of use of administrative resources – up to this. Untouchable for us and never will be”, – said the CEC Chairman.
Pamfilova in March of this year has replaced on a post of the head of the CEC Vladimir Churov. After her appointment, she canceled elections in the Moscow suburb of Barvikha, where the opposition complained of large groups of voters, registered in the exclusive village a few weeks before the vote. Election Commission of settlement are soon eliminated.
4 Jun Pamfilova assured that will not allow the abuses that led to mass protests during the previous election cycle in 2011 and 2012. However, she misspoke, that cannot give guarantees, as the CEC depends not all.
“We will do everything we can to the best of our ability and authority to prevent all those unsightly abuse, which in the previous campaign brought protesters to the streets,” she said.
