The head of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova will put forward a number of proposals on simplification of procedure of presidential elections to be held in 2018. About this Pamfilova said in an interview to “Vedomosti”.

During an interview, answering a series of questions Pamfilova stressed that can influence events only within its competence. Regarding possible changes in the election procedure, she said: “I Believe that colleagues will offer suggestions about what needs to be simplified, according to the documents, according to observers, by journalists. It is very important now, thinking about the presidential campaign, to build a strategy. We will state some ideas, but implementation is a matter of the legislator”.

In a similar way she answered the question of the extension of the range allowed before the election and candidates. “When someone clamped, there are often myths. Healthy competition is always a sign of development, and artificial and driven – a sign of degradation,” – said Pamfilova. Thus the question of admission to the election of the convicted for economic crimes policy Alexei Navalny, the head of the CEC said: “In the future, this possibility is not excluded. But in General, without regard to a particular person. You have to appeal to lawmakers. This, again, is beyond my competence”.

Pamfilova also commented on the rumors about a possible in 2017 elections. According to her version, this hypothesis was the result of an incorrect assessment of the budget of the CEC. “If the money (in elections) were not included in the budget in 2017, we don’t have time to organize for the presidential elections… the Election campaign starts in early December… this time to the CEC of Russia should already have money.”

To the question about the main candidate in the upcoming elections Pamfilova said: “If all believe, then why do you ask? Me Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin did not say personally that he will go on these elections. Once all are sure good! But me personally, nobody talked. Strange question. I think about how to spend a reorganization to create a system that, no matter how the situation worked.”

The Russian presidential election scheduled for March 11, 2018.
