President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union will be operational by November 24, reports TASS.

“We agreed that by this time all documents will be ready,” – said Poroshenko in an interview to Ukrainian TV channels. According to him, Ukraine has fulfilled all the requirements of the European side.

The introduction of a visa-free regime between the authorities of the EU and Ukraine actively discussed for the past two years, but the period of signing of the final documents is constantly transferred.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said earlier that the postponement is connected with the discussion within Europe concerning the mechanism of the “response to immigration risks”.

The European Commission on 18 December last year recommended that the EU Council to urgently consider introducing a visa-free regime with Georgia, Ukraine and the unrecognized Kosovo. Ukraine then announced, in particular, the requirement to combat corruption.

Note that the mass protest in Kiev, received the name “Euromaidan”, began on 21 November 2013 after the decision of Kiev to suspend the preparation of the Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU. One of the main results of this action was a complete change of the Ukrainian leadership.
