Prince William posed for the cover of the popular UK gay magazine Attitude in protest against the persecution of people because of their sexual orientation. This is stated on the websiteedition.
In may, the Prince was found in Kensington Palace with the editorial Board and members of the LGBT community. He listened to their stories about problems they encounter because of discrimination. After meeting William agreed to be photographed for a magazine cover.
“No one should be oppressed for sexual proclivities or for any other reason, and no one has to face the hatred that is experienced by these people in their lives,” he told reporters after meeting the Prince.
This is the first case when the representative of the British Royal family will appear on the cover of gay publication. The number of the journal in Britain can be bought from 22 June.
The magazine’s circulation is about 60 thousand copies. The cover previously appeared celebrities such as David Beckham, brad pitt, Madonna, George Clooney, the Prime Ministers of great Britain David Cameron and Tony Blair and others.
