Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of the Governor of Krasnoyarsk region Victor Tolokonsky. The head of state has appointed the acting head of the region Alexander USS, who until recently held the position of Chairman of the legislative Assembly of the territory.

The decree “On early termination of powers of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Krai” was published on the official website of the Kremlin. The paper reported that Tolokonsky has left a post of the head of region at own will.

In a press-service of the Kremlin also said that the President has already held a “working meeting with Alexander USS, during which informed about the decision to appoint him as the acting Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region”.

About the impending resignation Tolokonsky became known still on September 27. On that day, the former head of the region said goodbye to his subordinates and told them that “goes, and even leaves”.

The wider public Tolokonsky remembered as a Governor, signer of the resonant document of a sharp increase in the salaries of local deputies – up to 200 thousand rubles (in the background of the fact that the average salary of the inhabitant of Krasnoyarsk region barely exceeds 30 thousand rubles). It caused a scandal. Later the deputies refused.

Victor Tolokonsky 64. He held the position of Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region in 2014, succeeding Leo Kuznetsov. Prior to that, Tolokonsky was the mayor of Novosibirsk (until 2000) and headed the Novosibirsk oblast from 2000 to 2010.

According to media reports, one of the most likely changers Tolokonsky is the head of FANO (Federal Agency of scientific organizations) Mikhail Kotyukov. As noted Krasnoyarsk journalists, he was present at the meeting at which he made his farewell speech the former head of the region.

The head of the Krasnoyarsk territory also tipped the first Deputy energy Minister Alexei Teksler, the current Chairman of the government of the Krasnoyarsk territory Viktor Tomenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Oboronprom”, the former Deputy Governor of Krasnoyarsk region Sergey Sokol and ex-Deputy Director of “Russian grids” Oleg Budargin.

On the eve of Putin signed a decree on early termination of powers of the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous district Igor Koshin. Earlier this week, the resignation of the head of the four regions. September 25 the President signed a decree on termination of powers of the Governor of the Samara
region Nikolay Merkushkin, September 26 on early termination of powers of the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantsev. In both cases the formulation “at own will”.

On 27 September his resignation was announced by the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov. The decree on his resignation, the Kremlin is still not published.
