Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Peru to attend the summit of the Asia-Pacific economic cooperation (APEC) forum, reports TASS. Most journalists arrive at the summit later, while refueling in Lisbon in the second plane of the delegation found the problem, which required replacement of the parts.

Putin first visited this South American country.

The first day of the summit the Russian President will be mostly
on bilateral contacts with foreign colleagues. On November 19, Putin has scheduled five meetings, including with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. In addition, he will talk with the leaders of Vietnam, the Philippines, China and host of the summit – President of Peru Pablo Kuczynski. With him, and also with the new leaders of Vietnam’s Quang and Give the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte Putin will chat for the first time.

It is expected, in these conversations, Putin along with representatives
ministries and departments will take part the heads of the major
Russian energy companies Rosneft and Gazprom, as well as
the Federal service for military-technical cooperation.

During the break between bilateral contacts, Putin will take part
in the meeting of leaders of APEC members of the APEC Business Advisory
Council, in which Russian business will participate the head of the RDIF
Kirill Dmitriev, the head of VTB Andrey Kostin and the owner of “basic element” Oleg
Deripaska.

Then, as told by Yuri Ushakov, the heads of state and representatives of
business distributed over five thematic groups, which will communicate
in the form of questions and answers. The group, together with Vladimir Putin stated
the leaders of Canada, Taiwan and Papua New Guinea (which will be
to host the APEC summit in 2018).

In the evening, the APEC leaders will meet at the official reception on behalf of
President of Peru. Here, perhaps, Putin will meet with current President Barack Obama. Earlier, the Kremlin did not rule out the possibility of such contact between two
presidents.

The second day of the summit will begin with a meeting of APEC leaders with the managing Director of the IMF, Christine Lagarde, to be followed by working sessions on food security, adaptation to climate change, access to water resources and other issues.

At the working Breakfast that will take place between meetings, leaders in
free discussion to discuss any questions.

The summit will be the adoption of a final Declaration and
the chairmanship in APEC in 2017 Vietnam.
