The President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev praised the results of “United Russia” on elections in the State Duma of the seventh convocation. Their assessment leads the Agency “Interfax”.
According to the President, the result of the ruling party in the elections “good, despite difficulties in the country.” Medvedev, in turn, said that the “United Russia” will have “absolute majority” in the new composition of the lower house of Parliament.
“The situation is difficult, and people want in society, in political
the system was stable. People want to feel that the situation in
the country in the political sphere and in the parliamentary sphere was secure,” –
Putin said the preliminary results of the election headquarters of “United Russia”.
However, Putin commented on the turnout. He said that the number came to the areas citizens, “not the greatest” in comparison with the previous election campaign, but still high.
According to the data of exit polls, “public opinion Foundation” in the lower chamber of the Parliament are held four parties: “United Russia” (48.7%) and LDPR (14.2 percent), the Communist party (16.3 per cent) and “Fair Russia” (7.6 per cent). The other parties did not overcome the 5% barrier, which allows to obtain seats in the Duma.
