Russian President Vladimir Putin will not go to Paris on 19 October, reports Reuters with reference to sources in France. Earlier, President Francois Hollande questioned the fact that the meeting with the Russian colleague can benefit.

“This morning was negotiated between the Kremlin and the Elysee Palace, it was proposed to devote to the visit of Putin the Syrian issue on the condition that President Hollande will not participate in any other events. In response, Russia stated that it had decided to postpone the visit,” – said a source in the administration of the French leader.

Yesterday in the Kremlin said that the Russian side continues preparation for the meeting of Putin and Hollande. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian leader during his visit to Paris in negotiations will take part in opening of Russian spiritual center. Putin also wanted to visit the exhibition of Russian art.

We will remind that on October 10, Hollande in an interview with TMC said, I haven’t decided yet whether Putin personally during his visit to Paris. The French President said that he doubted the expediency of these negotiations. “I ask myself whether the meeting is useful? Can we ensure that he (Putin) stopped doing what it’s doing together with the Syrian regime, that is to support the aviation regime, which is bombing the people of Aleppo?” – said the French President.
