To cope with the terrorist threat and to help the refugees is possible only by the combined efforts of the entire world, said President Vladimir Putin at an informal meeting of the leaders of the BRICS countries, held on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Antalya. The main topic is expected to be the fight against terrorism.

“We understand that to cope with the terrorist threat and to help millions of people lost their homes, can only be United efforts of the world community”, – quotes Putin “Interfax”.

As to the threat of terrorism, said the Russian leader, “we all saw the horror that occurred recently in Paris.”

“We sympathize with the affected people, but always call for joining efforts in order to effectively deal with the terrorist threat, – said Putin. – Of course, it is necessary to act in strict accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, based on international norms and respecting the sovereign rights and legitimate interests of each state.” The Russian President noted that these basic provisions are reflected in the adopted this year in the Ufa Declaration of the BRICS.

Discussion of the problem of terrorism and the refugee situation on the agenda of a working dinner of leaders of “twenty” is scheduled for Sunday evening.
