The United Arab Emirates has sent an official note of protest to the foreign Ministry of Latvia after the staff of Riga international airport demanded that the new UAE Ambassador to the country, Hanan Khalfan Obaid Ali al-Madani to remove the hijab. Abu Dhabi has accused Latvia of disrespect to the Muslim tradition and diplomatic immunity al-Madani, reports DELFI.
