Flights between Russia and Tajikistan will not be suspended after November 8, the parties agreed on Russian airlines flying to Tajikistan from a new Moscow airport in Zhukovsky, reports “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the Ministry saidthat Russia plans to stop flights to Tajikistan from the 8th of November, if the authorities of the Republic will not change its position on the airport Zhukovsky.
The authorities of the Republic refused to accept flights from the airport in Zhukovsky. Tajikistan expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that out of Zhukovsky in Dushanbe and Khujand will fly the aircraft company “Ural airlines”, which will increase the number of Russian aircraft on the routes.
In Tajikistan ranked air Harbor in Zhukovsky to the airports of the Moscow aviation hub (UIA) and noted that international flights of UIA are subject to bilateral agreements, which mean equal terms of transport between countries.
Later the counselor of the Embassy of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation Sarwar Bakht reported that the Tajik side considers it necessary to conclude a new agreement on air communication with Russia, and suggested that a 24 November in Dushanbe a meeting of representatives of interested departments.
However, on 4 November the head of Ministry of transport of Tajikistan Sherali Gangasta said that the delegation of Tajikistan has already left to Moscow “for the solution of problems in the field of aviation”. He stressed that “Tajikistan will protect your aviation market and insists on observance of rules of flights on a parity basis”. Today, November 7, it became known that the parties agreed the issues for flights from Zhukovsky.
According to TASS, the negotiations reached an agreement on the opening of Tajik airlines for additional destinations from Tajikistan in Ufa, Chelyabinsk and Barnaul (previously unavailable Tajikistan). In addition, increase the number of flights operated by Tajik carriers, from the city of Khujand to St Petersburg. Thus restore parity.
Currently, regular flights from Russia to Tajikistan is carried out from 15 cities of the Russian Federation, most flights have at the airports. In Russia planes fly from the four airports in Tajikistan: Dushanbe (in 13 cities of the Russian Federation), Khujand (in 15 cities of Russia) and Kurgan-Tyube, and Kulyab (only in Moscow).
