Manufacturers have notified the largest retailers on the growth of purchasing prices for milk, butter, yogurt and cheese. The price increase will range from 3 to 17%, wrote on Tuesday “Fontanka”</u>.
Available publications were notifications from about 20 companies, among which – Federal participants of the market, the St. Petersburg factories, manufacturers from other regions, as well as suppliers from Belarus.
Gap in the market of dairy products caused by a bad summer and a reduction in imports from Belarus.
The shortage of providers compete for farmers, and prices are rising, explained one of the representatives of the industry.
This year, the situation is complicated by the fact that retailers will not be able to restrain the rise in prices of goods on the shelves due to come into force on 1 January amendments to the law on trade, deprived of a network of rebate.
A side effect will also be narrowing the range and increasing the share of counterfeit.
If suppliers insist on the increase, retailers will leave only what sells best.
Note, in last week’s report of the National Union of milk producers (“Soyuzmoloko”), prepared jointly with the analytical centre Milknews, it was noted that since the beginning of the year in Russia decreased the production of raw milk. The production of marketable milk continues to grow.
In late August, “Soyuzmoloko” reported that of the 30 million tonnes officially produced in Russia milk processing plants received only 12 million tons. Regions, according to experts, add and multiply “paper” yields.
On the other hand, increased production of marketable milk with the decline in milk yield indicates an increase in the production share of imported milk powder.
