The head of the Russian biathlon Union (RBU) Alexander Kravtsov evaluated the performance of the Russian team at the world Cup in Hochfilzen on “three with plus”.

On a world championship team won gold in the men’s relay and bronze in the mixed relay, becoming the fifth in the team standings.

“Happy you can be when implemented intended – this is the first – said Kravtsov TASS. Second, in General, my personal opinion, the team did a solid C-plus. A few fourth places in certain circumstances, which are not taken into account either the experts or the fans, could become medals. We have some movement forward is finally clear and, most importantly, problems that are in the team, they will be eliminated by the Olympics.”

Note that last time the Russian team mined gold at the world Championships in 2009, and at the last world Cup in Norwegian Holmenkollen, they generally failed to win a single award, showing the worst result for all history of performances.

Prior to this, the failure was considered the world championship 2012 in Ruhpolding, Germany. Then our athletes managed to win two bronze medals. The same number of medals was in 2013 at the world Championships in the Czech Nove mesto, then only one of the awards was the silver.

Kravtsov also noted that SBR in the near future intends to engage in the preparation of a defense right Tyumen world championship 2021, from which Russia was asked to voluntarily resign at the last Executive Committee of the International biathlon Union (IBU). Otherwise the city will lose this right automatically.

The Russian side insists on the illegitimacy of this decision, because it can only take the IBU Congress. The case can be considered not sporting, and civil court.
