Russian athletes who took part in the summer Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, escaped the infection Zeke. The threat of infection with this virus was one of the main causes of concern for the health of the participants and guests of the Olympiad.

The CPS has carried out a survey of national Olympians and came to the conclusion that the stay in Brazil turned out to be safe for the Russian delegation. None of them had identified the disease fever neither Zeke nor other infectious diseases.

“Today, given the expiration of the incubation period, among the Russian athletes returning from the Olympic games, the fever cases Zeke and other infectious diseases is not registered. Stay while in the Olympic games in Brazil for the Russian athletes and other members of the Russian Olympic team and Olympic visitors safe,” reports the press service of the Ministry.

During the Olympics there was conducted a complex of measures aimed at minimizing the risk of importation and spread of infectious diseases on the territory of the Russian Federation. The participants were informed about the possible risks of infection, the necessity of observance of rules of personal hygiene to prevent illnesses and symptoms of infectious diseases.

Note that zika fever scare many athletes and guests of the Olympiad. Some of them refused to travel to Rio de Janeiro for fear of Contracting this dangerous virus.
