Russia’s investigative Committee opened a case against the Ukrainian commanders, ordered the shelling Makeyevka
Russia’s investigative Committee in absentia was charged with two Ukrainian colonels who, according to authorities, on October 27 were aimed artillery shelling of residential houses in Donetsk, Makeyevka, which led to the deaths of two civilians and wounding five, including a six – year-old girl.
“Almost every day we see in the South-East of the country killed and affected civilians. In this case, as for the previous two years, we have to acknowledge inaction of the competent authorities of Ukraine. Thus, in accordance with the norms of international law and the Russian Investigative Committee continues to record and investigate these crimes against the peace and security of mankind. We are talking about genocide and the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare. The investigative Committee already knew the names of the commanders of the Armed forces of Ukraine who gave the orders to destroy the civilian population”, – explained the official representative of Department Svetlana Petrenko.
The report listed the names of the accused is the commanders of 92 and 72 separate mechanized brigades colonels Victor nikolyuk and Andrei Sokolov. About excitation of criminal case on the fact of shelling from heavy weapons was reported on 1 November. We are talking about article 356 of the criminal code – organization of the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare.
The same charge is in absentia brought to the commander of the 44 separate artillery brigade armed forces of Ukraine, Colonel Oleg Lisovoy. In the TFR believe that on may 26, 2016, he together with his subordinates was shot shelling of civilian infrastructure in Gorlovka, which caused the death of three people, including a minor girl, and the wounding of two local residents.
In addition,the number of defendants named Andriy Gryshchenko, former commander 72 separate mechanized brigade armed forces of Ukraine, now the commander of the operational unit South of the land forces of Ukraine. 4 June last year, his unit was shelled from “Grad” the village of Telmanovo, killing a boy of five.

Recall that in early September, TFR opened a criminal case against the head of the defense Ministry of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, chief-of-staff Viktor Muzhenko and other former and active military officials for the shelling of Donbass. Previously in relation to Muzhenko and Poltorak was initiated a criminal case about the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare. In October and November SKR have declared criminal cases and in absentia indictments against a number of unit commanders.
