Former contractor of the national security Agency (NSA), USA Harold Thomas Martin, whom the media have dubbed the”second Snowden”stole lists of personnel of American intelligence officers working undercover abroad. This is stated in the documents submitted Thursday to the court in the Martin case prosecutors, reports TASS.

The Prosecutor’s office tries to ensure that the court refused to Martin on the upcoming Friday meeting in Baltimore (Maryland) in bail. The defense is that the detainee in early October, Martin was kidnapped by the secret information, as suffering from mental disorder, manifested in the hoarding of unneeded things. The first bail judge David Copperthite last week rejected.

According to U.S. authorities, Martin, who is 51 years old, stole about 500 million pages of documents, including secret information about U.S. military operations. Media reported that Martin, in particular, stole the code, specifically designed for hacking computer systems of the foreign opponents of the United States, namely governments of Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.

Harold Thomas Martin worked in a major U.S. consulting company Booz Allen Hamilton collaborated with the NSA. This same company worked with the famous ex-NSA employee Edward Snowden, after the disclosure of the secrets of the Agency has been granted asylum in Russia.

Martin was arrested in Maryland in August. According to the U.S. Department of justice, the detainee secretly gathered the documents of various government departments for approximately 20 years, the volume “archive” is estimated at not less than 50 terabytes.

Now the arrested person is charged with theft of government property and unauthorized access to the information constituting a state secret. The Ministry of justice, most likely, will charge him with espionage.
