Filipino Manny Pacquiao regained the title of world champion under version WBO in the weight category up 66,68 kg after a year and a half. In a 12-round fight in Las Vegas (USA, Nevada), he won the American Jessie Vargas on points by unanimous decision – 114:113, 118:109, 118:109.

In the second round, the Senator has begun active actions: first, he successfully sent “two”, then another one, and 30 seconds before the Gong sent Americans into a knockdown with a straight left. In the third round, Pacquiao had not given the initiative and looked much better.

Later Vargas for some time managed to impose resistance to Pacquiao, but still, Pacquiao looked convincing. Pacquiao was too quick for the opponent, which is often summed response, and enjoyed the advantage in speed, easily approaching, dealing sharp blows and going the distance. In the end, the American landed more punches, but only a limited number have reached the goal, while Pacquiao beat more efficiently and stronger.

37-year-old Pacquiao regained the title of world champion WBO in six years after it lost to American Floyd Mayweather in the”fight of the century”, held in may, 2015. Pacquiao then stepped into the ring after almost a year, and has won over American Timothy Bradley on points.

Then he announced his retirement, which was connected with the elections to the Senate of the Philippines in may. However, he changed his mind and in August signed a contract to fight Vargas.

Pacquiao became the first in the history of the current Senator, won the title of world champion in Boxing. His track record now 59 wins (38 by knockout), six defeats and two draws.
