In Moscow yesterday, October 25, the 21st time announced the names of laureates of the International award of Stanislavsky. Only selected 10 winners, including – actors, officials and even a hotel.

According to the prize regulations, the nominees are not announced in advance, immediately read out the list of winners determined by the jury, said TASS. The composition of the jury changes every year. This year the jury was headed by doctor of arts, the Vitas Silunas, who announced the decision of their colleagues.

In the acting category winners were four – Sergey Bezrukov (for recent works), Igor Kostolevsky (for contribution to performing arts), Igor Gordin (for recent years) and leading actor of the Russian youth theatre Ilya Isaev (for excellence in acting). Award in the field of theatre pedagogy has received Natalia Zvereva, theatre critic Inna Solovyova was awarded for the book “the Czechs. The first Studio. The second Mat”.

The award for contribution to the development of international cultural relations has awarded the special presidential envoy for international cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi. For the support of the theatre arts was awarded the Governor of Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov. Another award in this category went to the hotel “Baltschug Kempinski Moscow”. The collective became the winner of the Yaroslavl drama theater named after Fyodor Volkov.

International Stanislavsky award established in 1994 by the same Fund and is awarded annually for an outstanding contribution to the development of theatrical art. Each laureate is awarded an honorary sign with a picture of seagulls and a facsimile of Stanislavsky, as well as a monetary prize. During the existence of the awards it has received more than 170 people.

By tradition the award ceremony is timed to the festival “the Stanislavsky Season”. As noted by RIA “Novosti”, the main characters of the program will be works from Sweden, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Yaroslavl. The festival opened on Tuesday and the premiere performance of “the Seagull. Sketch” Yaroslavl drama theatre and will run until November 18. It will be followed by “Master of hunger” created by a story by Franz Kafka, artistic Director of the Lithuanian theatre “Meno Fortas” Eimuntas Nekrosius, as well as “Prompter” Gösta Ekman of the Swedish Royal theatre “Dramaten” and the “Year of cancer” Luke Percivale from the famous theater “Tonneelgroup Amsterdam”. Their work will also present the Moscow theatres, in different years Stanislavsky award.
