The street artist from Perm Alexander Zhunev, widely known after the scandal surrounding his graffiti “Gagarin. The crucifixion”, and the leader of the group DDT Yuri Shevchuk, whose portrait he posted of autumn leaves on one of the houses of the city, exchanged autographs, reports the website 59.ru. The meeting took place at a concert of a musical group in the Perm Palace of culture named after Anatoly Soldatov.
According to the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, in anticipation of the performance of DDT, the organizers called Juneva and handed him an invitation from Yuri Shevchuk to visit the concert. The group brought to Perm its program “History”.
The concert in Perm, the artist brought two print of a portrait of a rock musician from the leaves. “After the show I was invited Yuri Shevchuk to the dressing room to personally meet and talk. It was the third concert of the band DDT, which I happened to be present”, – told “KP” Zhunev. He admitted that before the meeting, Shevchuk was very worried.
“After a friendly handshake I explained to Yuri Shevchuk, one of the ideas of my work was to do nice things legendary people now when they are alive. And not wait when they will not be”, – told the artist.
Shevchuk thanked Geneva for such an unusual job. “Sasha, I don’t deserve. But thanks!” the musician wrote on photo composition, laid out by the artist.
“Signed each other’s photo for memory. Before I could judge it only in music and lyrics, and yesterday, after a live meeting, the more convinced that he is a cool guy! And he’s a cool dancer,” – said Alexander Zhunev about the meeting with Shevchuk in Facebook.
Portrait of Yury Shevchuk of autumn leaves appeared in Perm in early October. The work of Alexander Geneva is still possible to see in the Park named after Pushkin.
We will remind, the wide resonance was received by the other work of the Geneva – created in April last year on the wall of one of the Perm high-rises the image of the first cosmonaut, which the artist called “Gagarin. The crucifixion”.
After the graffiti drew the attention of the Deputy of the city Duma Yuri Utkin, utility workers cleaned the picture from the wall of the grinder. And the world court in Perm sentenced Alexander Geneva to a fine of one thousand rubles, accusing him of spoiling the appearance of the building.
