First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov at a meeting with employees of the Ministry of economic development, commissioned by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, to calm them after the arrest of the former head of the Ministry Alexei Ulyukayev said that the Ministry will not remain long without a leader.
“The first Vice Prime Minister urged all to professionally perform the tasks and to make every effort to show positive results until may 2018, and assured the employees that the Ministry for a long time without a Minister will not” – said the representative of the Secretariat first Deputy Prime Minister.
Shuvalov commissioned in mid-December, the Collegium of the Ministry, which is planned to summarize the results of 2016 and discuss the tasks for the next year, and noted the need for coordinated work of the team in current situation.

The possible candidacy of the Minister at the meeting was not called. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov on a question about the candidate for the presidency of the MAYOR replied: “Not defined”.
The only objective of the meeting, as reported, was to defuse the situation among the former subordinates of the arrested Minister. The head of the government Dmitry Medvedev on 16 November publicly urged employees of the Ministry of economic development to work smoothly, despite the arrest of the Minister.
Other high-ranking officials ahead of the “calmed” the Investigative Committee, making a statement that in the case of the speaker not the other defendants.
