Russia’s investigative Committee has charged in absentia charges against two current officers of the army of Ukraine of involvement in the massive artillery shelling of the border areas of Russia in the Rostov region in June-August 2014, reported on the website of the Ministry.

This is the commander of 72-th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed forces of Ukraine Andriy Gryshchenko, who currently holds the position of commander of the operational command “South” of land forces of this country, and the commander of the 27th artillery regiment of the Ukrainian armed forces Colonel Valery Ismailov. They are in absentia accused under articles 105 and 317 (murder, attempted murder, infringement of life of law enforcement officers) of the criminal code, the report said.

According to the UK, as a result of these attacks from self-propelled artillery and jet systems of volley fire, many injured, and an elderly resident of the city of Donetsk, the Rostov region, was fatally wounded on the territory of the household.
