A citizen of Russia died in Telinde during a parachute jump, reports Thai PBS. The incident occurred on the territory of the skydiving centre in Chonburi province.
According to the channel, 35-year-old man made a single jump from the glider. Parachute opened, but a few seconds before landing had burst one of the strop, and then a sharp gust of wind turned and “folded” parachute in the air, reports RIA “Novosti”.
As a result, the Russians fell to the ground from a height of about 40 meters. From the received traumas it has died on the spot.
The name of the deceased male is not called. It is reported that his body will be sent to hospital for autopsy.
TASS notes that meanwhile, the police finds out circumstances of the tragedy. The skydiving centre in which territory it happened, is the only such institution in Thailand and is popular among tourists who usually make here jumping in tandem with an instructor. Dead Russians were training here for a long time, and also worked as an instructor.
