In the airports of Egypt Russian experts on aviation security inspections have again found a number of shortcomings. For this reason, it is unlikely the resumption of air links with Russia until the end of 2016. About it “Interfax” on Monday, October 3, said a source familiar with the situation.

“For the last time carried out various tests
and check for compliance with the Cairo airport, but in the first place
resort airports of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada Russian high
safety requirements”, – said the Agency interlocutor. According to him, the result was the identified deficiencies, which do not allow to speak about the imminent resumption of flights between Russia and Egypt.

In particular, concerns relate to systemic issues, including personal responsibility frames airports. Specialists from Russia was not satisfied with the training of personnel responsible for compliance with aviation security, as well as control access to the sterile area to non-accredited entities.

At the end of last week the head of Ministry of transport Maxim Sokolov said
reporters that after the inspection, the Egyptian airports at the end of September
the Russian experts came to the conclusion that to start preparing
suggestions on opening air links with Russia while early. The Egyptian side

terminal at Cairo airport, said the Minister. According to Sokolov, the Russian experts have “at least one more visit to Egypt.

The parties agreed that Russia will resume flights after the adoption of measures to provide additional security in the Egyptian airports.
