The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has held a meeting with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Peru. He noted the progress in relations between the two countries, and the Japanese leader promised to take Putin as a dear guest at the hotel hot spring.

During the meeting, the Russian leader noted that relations between Moscow and Tokyo move forward due to the fact that it was resumed some interaction tools. “We have resumed some of the interaction tools, which allow us to move forward in the development of bilateral relations”, – quotes Putin RIA “Novosti”.

Putin noted that work is continuing on the implementation of the Japanese initiatives to intensify trade and economic cooperation. The two countries “there is a good opportunity to verify all these areas.”

Pleased with the dialogue and the Japanese Prime Minister Abe. “I welcome that on the eve of your visit to Japan we conducted active contacts on a wide spectrum of work for the preparation is as follows,” he said, referring to Putin.

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister of Japan said that the economic cooperation between the two countries became more concrete. “We confirmed the successful development of economic cooperation of 8 points, had a good conversation on the eve of the December negotiations,” he told reporters.

Putin’s visit to Japan scheduled for December 15-16. He should be crowned Japan’s efforts in the framework of the “new approach” to the problem of the southern Kuriles and peace Treaty between the two countries.

After the meeting the Russian and Japanese leaders, the press Secretary of Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov has told reporters that during the meeting mainly discussed the forthcoming visit of the President of Russia to Japan. Peskov also confirmed media reports that the soon to Moscow there will arrive the Minister of foreign Affairs of Japan, Fumio Kishida, which will also discuss the upcoming visit. “Many issues are yet to speak to the President and Prime Minister during the visit proceeded by “preparing the ground”, – said Peskov.
