The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said that the parties discussed “some ideas” that can influence the situation. “Agreed to continue contacts in the coming days based on certain agreements that will help to promote a settlement,” he said.

His American counterpart John Kerry called the meeting in Lausanne constructive, but “with a complex, intense,” reports Reuters.

According to Secretary of state, in the course of negotiations was announced “several ideas” that “can open several different approaches” to resolving the conflict. He also noted that the participants of the meeting agreed on a number of key points and agreed to consider the plan, which could lead to the creation of a roadmap for political negotiations.

Kerry also added that the next meeting regarding the future of Syria will take place next Monday, but not at the Ministerial level.
