The national team of Russia on Friday once again took the lead in the world team championship in figure skating World Team Trophy 2017, which is taking place these days in Tokyo. This happened after the execution of participants in the short program in pair skating, where Russia represent Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov.

Domestic couple got 66,37 points and was fourth after the French Vanessa James and Morgan Sipr (75,73), Chinese Peng Cheng and Jin Yana (of 71.36) and Canadians Kirsten Moore-towers and Michael Marinaro (69,56).

This result brought to the Russian team with nine points and first place in the overall standings of the world Cup. The results of the four types of programs, the team scored 53 points and two points ahead going after USA and Japan.

Before the Russians brought in the leaders of the singles and Evgeny Medvedev, but a short hire men pushed the team to the second position.

Later on Friday an arbitrary program will demonstrate the dance duets and male single.

The tournament, which runs until 23 April at the national stadium in the Japanese capital, take part six teams having the best ranking in the International skating Union (ISU), Canada (8437 points), Russia (7972), USA (7257), Japan (7068), China (5065) and France (4307).
