St. Petersburg authorities plan to transfer the management of football club “Zenit”, under construction on Krestovsky island stadium until January 25, 2017. On Friday has declared to journalists the Vice-Governor Igor Albin.

“The lag in the construction of the stadium about 30 days for some work. But we’ll make up the schedule for the next two weeks. Another issue – commissioning to all systems of the stadium were coordinated”, – quotes Albina “Interfax”.

The official recalled that the city signed with the club Memorandum of transfer of the object, however, the scheme is not yet defined – a concession or long term lease. Smolny will work with Zenit to create a single management system.

Albin also spoke about the finalization of the design roll-out field, the vibration of which was not satisfied with the inspection Commission of FIFA. Recall that this arena will host games of the confederations Cup in 2017 and 2018, and therefore must meet specific criteria.

According to the Vice-Governor, it is planned to strengthen the secondary beam, to fasten a metal plate to make a backup of the whole structure. All work on the field needs to be completed by the end of January.

The stadium was laid in the Western part of Krestovsky island in 2007. His project was adjusted three times: in 2008, 2010 and 2013. Every time the cost of the arena was alleged initially increased from 6.7 billion to a possible 43.8 billion rubles.

The completion date of the arena in St. Petersburg postponed many times.
