Twelve Russian tourists were injured in a traffic accident that occurred in Phang nga province in Thailand, reports TASS. One of the victims remains in hospital, has informed Agency the head of the consular Department of the Embassy of Russia in this country Vladimir Sosnov.
“One Russian woman, Lyudmila Naumova, remains in the hospital. She got in the accident multiple injuries, but, according to doctors at the hospital, her life and health is not in danger” – quoted the diplomat RIA “Novosti”.
All the other victims the Russians currently have already been discharged from hospitals after receiving medical care, said the Consul.
The accident with the Russian tourists has occurred the day before, Sunday, November 27. The bus with the tourists followed from the province of Phang Phuket.
Just in the bus there were 42 citizen of the Russian Federation. At the entrance to the intersection the bus suddenly brakes failed and the driver turned off the highway to avoid a collision with vehicles waiting to switch the traffic signal, according to the official police report, which was received on Monday the Russian Embassy. The result of these manipulations, the bus crashed into the guardrail, according to a report.
Initially, the Thai media reported about the three victims of the Russians. Head of the consular Department also reported that the insurance company which had insured the bus, guaranteed hospital specified in the insurance policy service and the costs of treatment of all Russians who applied to the hospital after the accident.
