In the report the reasons for the change of registration in Malta is not given, a spokesman for the airport declined to comment.

According to the Agency, the change of the place of incorporation of the company coincided with the investigation against the leadership of “Domodedovo”. On initiation of the case became known in the summer of 2015.

Dmitry Mason and three former and current top managers of the airport then accused in the execution of works or services that do not meet the requirements of safety, entailed on imprudence death of two or more persons (article 238 of the Russian criminal code) during the attack, which occurred at Domodedovo airport in early 2011.

September 23 it became known that the consequence on criminal case concerning the owner of Domodedovo airport Dmitry Mason and other senior managers in connection with the deaths of the terrorist attack in 2011, was dismissed for lack of evidence.

As reported by the newspaper “Kommersant” on September 28, crucial for closing the case was the intervention of the Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Gutan.

Earlier official representative of the Supervisory Department Alexander Kurennoy confirmed that Gutan July 1, sent a document to the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin with a request to terminate the case against Mason. Prior to that, the Supervisory authority has repeatedly demanded that SK the Russian Federation to close the case, but then the first paper came from the leadership of the Prosecutor General.

“Domodedovo” on 20 October for the first time in 2013 reported under IFRS for the years 2014 and 2015 and first half 2016. In the first half of 2016, revenue of the airport decreased by 4.4% to 17,76 billion rubles, EBITDA by 14.4% to 6.2 billion rubles (by the end of 2015, these figures decreased by 4.3 and 11.9%, respectively). net profit, on the contrary, increased, by 4.1%, to 3.67 billion.
