The costs of preparations for the FIFA world Cup 2018 reduced by more than 4.5 billion rubles, according to the decree of the government of the Russian Federation, published on the portal of legal information.

The decree introduces changes to the program of preparation for the 2018 FIFA world Cup, previously approved by the RF government.

As a result, the costs of implementing the program on preparation and holding of the championship will be reduced from 631 billion which is 459, 9 million rubles to 925,9 billion 626 million rubles, reports RIA “Novosti”.

Note that this reduction of the budget of the event is not the first. In June, the Cabinet of Ministers has cut the cost of the 2018 world Cup almost 30 billion rubles, then in August – a further 151 million.

The first ever world Cup in Russia will take place from 14 June to 15 July 2018. The tournament matches will be played in Moscow, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-don, Sochi and Yekaterinburg.
