The Moscow arbitration court decided to recover from the Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing enterprise “Antonov” 180,2 million roubles of the penalty in favor of the Ministry of defense of Russia. In July 2015, Russian military Department has filed a lawsuit against the company in the amount of 357,4 million rubles, said the material published on the official website of the court.

The court’s decision can now be appealed by the Respondent within one month. According to the materials of the case, in 1989 the Ministry of defense and the Ukrainian company signed the contract for the construction of the aircraft An-70, but the work was not performed.

In 2015, the Ukrainian government announced the termination of military-technical cooperation with Moscow. The concern “Antonov”, in turn, was derived from the joint Russian-Ukrainian venture “UAC-Antonov” and became part of “Ukroboronprom”.

In late January, the Ukrainian state-owned company has denied information about its dissolution. Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine reported that the government eliminated the aviation group in connection with the transfer of all three of its businesses in the “Ukroboronprom”.

Aviation experimental design Bureau under the direction of Oleg Antonov was established on 31 may 1946 at the Novosibirsk aviation plant. In 1952 it moved to Kiev, where he engaged in the creation of military transport and passenger aircraft Antonov – from pre-project scientific researches to construction, tests, certification, serial production and after-sales service.

Previously, the Moscow Arbitration court has considered the dispute between the defense Ministry and the enterprise “Antonov”. So, in March 2014, the court ordered the company to 75,7 mln rubles for violation of the terms of the contract, reminds TASS.
