Presnensky court of Moscow seized the Bank account in the case of former Colonel of the Ministry of internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Dmitry Zakharchenko, reports “Interfax”. According to TASS, we are talking about an account belonging to the “third person”.
“Since the case “classified”, who exactly they belong to, I can’t say”, – said the “Interfax” press Secretary of the court Anastasia pylina, confirming the fact of seizure of funds. She also declined to specify the amount on the accounts of those arrested.
Source TASS in law enforcement bodies reported that the total amount of money seized is more than $ 16 million (over one billion). According to investigators, the money could be derived from criminal activity, the Agency reports.
The sources of RIA “news” in law enforcement bodies reported the discovery during the investigation of another billion in the accounts associated with Zakharchenko. According to interlocutors of Agency, the money was found during the new searches in the accounts of a person who is, in turn, said that the funds belong to the family of Colonel.
Meanwhile, the defense did not know about the arrest of accounts Zakharchenko or anyone of his family members, reported “Interfax” lawyer Alexander Lebedevich.
Zakharchenko was arrested September 10, he is accused of receiving a bribe, abuse of power and obstruction of preliminary investigation (article 290, 285 and 294 of the Criminal code).
As reported by investigation, in the course of searches in the apartment of the sister Zakharchenko in an elite residential complex “dominion” on Lomonosovsky Prospekt, law enforcement authorities found 120 million dollars and two million euros. Zakharchenko denies that money. He called the case against himself “custom” and fabricated with the aim to remove him from the post of acting head of Guebipk of the MIA of Russia.
In addition, it was reported 300 million euros, found in the accounts of family Zakharchenko in Swiss banks, and another 13 millions of rubles, 170 thousand dollars and five thousand euros found in his own car.
