The Ministry said that the security authorities of the DNI on Friday revealed that the journalists of “Rain” provided to the Ministry of information false personal data in order to receive accreditation. In this regard, they have been asked to testify on the fact of illegal journalistic activities and show footage.

When viewing videos, the DNR found that they “are biased and provocative” and “in a false light reflect socio-economic and political situation in the Republic”.

The journalists worked in the territory of the DNR on Thursday. They, in particular, recorded interview with a former Secretary of the security Council DND Alexander hodokovsky. The latter then explained that journalists probably detained “for preventive conversation”, as the press Secretary to the Prime Minister “has exceeded the powers and has given accreditation to journalists” without the knowledge of his superiors.

On Friday evening journalists have stopped communicating. Polonsky managed to inform the editors that they were detained by people who called themselves officials of the Ministry of state security of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s Republic.

Note that the territory of the DNI journalists came from Ukraine. The crew received accreditation for work in Donetsk as the Ukrainian security Service and the Ministry of information DND.
