Investments “Gazprom” in the construction of gas pipeline “Power of Siberia” (so-called “Eastern route”) and development of its resource base – the Chayanda field will be a total of 1.31 trillion rubles. Such data as transfers “Interfax”, found in the forecast of socio-economic development of Yakutia.
The document was approved in late September by the then Prime Minister of the Republic Galina Danchikova and published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“According to preliminary estimates, the cost of construction of the gas pipeline “Power of Siberia” will be about 670,4 billion, the Chayandinskoye field pre-development – 636,7 billion rubles”, – the document says.
It does not specify whether the cost of the entire pipeline or only the Yakut of the tube.
Gazprom plans to put into operation the Chayanda gas field in 2019; however, work on field development, which requires investment, planned until the year 2039″, – stated in the forecast.
“Gazprom” earlier not disclosed the cost of the project as a whole. In August 2014, before the devaluation of the ruble, called the valuation “Forces of Siberia” in 770 billion.
We will remind, by means of the pipeline “Power of Siberia”, “Eastern route” gas from Eastern Siberian fields (Chayandinskoye in Yakutia and the Kovykta in the Irkutsk region) will be transported in the domestic market (via Khabarovsk to Vladivostok), and for export to China.
“Western route” (“Power of Siberia-2″) provides for the supply of 30 billion cubic meters by pipeline from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district in Altai Krai to the North-West of China for 30 years. For this purpose, provides for the establishment of new pipeline transport system in the existing transport corridor from Western Siberia to Novosibirsk with subsequent continuation to the Russian-Chinese border.
In may 2014, Gazprom and CNPC signed a 30-year contract to supply natural gas via the Eastern route. As reported, “Gazprom” deliveries could begin in 2018 in the amount of 5 billion cubic meters, and will be subsequently increased to 38 billion cubic meters per year. The Eastern route envisages gas supply to China resources Yakutia and Irkutsk gas production centers.
“Gazprom” planned to build “Power of Siberia” in the Chinese advance, but not agreeing on the terms, said that abandoned him, not to give China the discounts on gas. 1 Sep 2014 the President of Russia took part in the ceremony dedicated to the connection of the first line of “Power of Siberia”.
The contract for the supply of Russian gas to China via the Western route has not yet been agreed, although in September 2015, Gazprom argued that this should happen in spring 2016.
July 1, 2016, the Chairman of the Board of the concern Alexey Miller at the annual shareholders meeting said that “Gazprom” has made an offer on the project “Power of Siberia – 2″ in its Chinese partner CNPC. Offer for the price and profile of the supply gas to China. If it is accepted, the contract will be signed “very soon”.
However, the Russian gas monopoly, as it turned out, rejected the so-called integrated approach to the contract. Earlier, the representative of CNPC said that the Chinese company is interested in joint production and sale of gas, as well as participation in the construction and management of the pipeline.
